Hillary Corney Absolutely HATES Spam. I have been an Internet user since the Mid 1980's some of my older e.mail addresses are now almost unusable because of the amount of spam they recieve each day. I know how annoying spam can be.

I hate those sites that insist you have to register before you can buy anything therefore you do NOT have to register in order to purchase things from our site. However we do give you the choice as once registered you will be able to buy things without typing in all your details each time. During registration a user is required to give his or her e-mail address. This e-mail address is used to contact the user about the jewellery and silverware on our site which they have ordered or expressed an interest.
We request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide
contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information
(like credit card number, expiration date). We do NOT store your credit card
details for security reasons.
This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders.
If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to
get in touch with the user.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive tied to aggregate information about the user. Use of a cookie is to save state; for instance it helps our shopping cart to maintain a list of items you have put in the shopping basket. If you break the connection or choose to visit another site in the middle of a transaction you do not have to start over again because our server should remember where you were when you return. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that the user will have to start the transaction again if the session is terminated for some reason. Security
This web site takes resonable precautions to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the web site, your information is protected both online and off-line.
We do NOT store your credit card information for security reasons. The credit card information is encrypted and immediately sent to the bank to facilitate the transaction. As soon as the order processing is complete the creditcard details are removed from the site. This make our system much more secure. It does mean that you will have to enter your card number each time you wish to purchase something but we feel that the increased security gained by not storing credit card information on our server is worth the small extra effort on your part.
When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just 'surfing'.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our order clerk or a customer service staff) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. As well as when new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.
